Amy has recently enjoyed a visit to Plougasnou where she stayed with a French family and gained work experience in a wide variety of places including the local library and a bakery. She was really well looked after and is an excellent example of our College's new link with the school in Plougasnou which has come about as a result of the town twinning.
Many thanks to all concerned for making her stay such an enjoyable one.
Year 7 pupils recently created some letters to send to pupils in our partner school in Yuxi. They introduced themselves in Chinese, said their name, and then wrote a short message in English before saying thank you and good bye in Chinese
Years 9-11 really enjoyed the excellent recent French play 'Les garçons' performed by Antoine and Céline, two actors from the Onatti Theatre company. We are now really looking forward to the company's Spanish production of 'La primera cita' on February the 23rd. Year 11 pupils particularly appreciated the chance to talk to both actors after the production. Vive Onatti!
Pupils and staff had a fantastic experience this week with the visit of a Maori cultural group who sang a variety of traditional songs and performed a number of dances including the legendary Haka! The pupils were able to take part and ask questions.
